1. Introduction
Imara Legacy Insurance Services ("Imara Legacy") respects the privacy of California consumers. This California Privacy Notice provides additional information concerning California privacy rights and supplements the Imara Legacy Privacy Policy. It does not replace the Privacy Policy.
California privacy requirements may differ depending on the nature of the personal information involved and the law applicable to that information. Because Imara Legacy operates in the insurance industry, certain personal information collected in connection with insurance products or services may be governed by California insurance privacy laws and regulations. Imara Legacy currently provides insurance services in California.
2. California Consumer Privacy Act
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended ("CCPA"), provides certain California consumers with privacy rights when its requirements apply to a business and the personal information involved. The applicability of particular CCPA requirements may depend on statutory thresholds, exemptions, the nature of the information, and other circumstances. This notice is provided for transparency and does not state that every provision of the CCPA applies to Imara Legacy or to every category of information it handles.
3. Insurance Privacy Information
Certain personal information collected in connection with obtaining, applying for, placing, or servicing insurance may be subject to California insurance privacy laws and regulations. Those requirements may differ from the CCPA.
This California Privacy Notice does not replace:
- Required insurance privacy notices
- Insurance carrier privacy notices
- Insurance application disclosures
- Required authorizations
- Other legally required notices
Where applicable, additional notices may be provided during an insurance transaction.

Because these practices are not occurring, this website does not currently offer a "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out mechanism, and it does not currently process Global Privacy Control signals for that purpose. If these practices change, an appropriate opt-out mechanism will be implemented before or alongside the change, and this notice will be updated.

- Requesting access to certain personal information
- Requesting correction of inaccurate personal information
- Requesting deletion, subject to applicable exceptions
- Opting out of certain sale or sharing practices, where applicable

11. Identity Verification
Imara Legacy may need to reasonably verify your identity before providing, correcting, or deleting personal information. We will ask only for information reasonably necessary to verify the request.
Please do not send Social Security numbers, complete medical records, bank or payment-card information, or government identification documents by ordinary email.

13. Right to Nondiscrimination
Where applicable, Imara Legacy will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. This does not require Imara Legacy to provide an insurance product for which you do not otherwise qualify; insurance eligibility remains subject to lawful carrier underwriting, product requirements, and applicable law.
14. Sensitive Personal Information
Date of birth is collected through the Request a Quote form to help identify suitable coverage options. Please do not submit unrequested Social Security numbers, bank account or payment-card information, government identification numbers, medical records, or complete medical histories through public website forms. Insurance applications or carriers may separately request information through appropriate processes.
15. Data Retention
Personal information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, maintain business records, service insurance, meet legal and regulatory recordkeeping and compliance obligations, prevent fraud and security incidents, and resolve disputes.
16. Children
This website is not directed toward children under 13, and Imara Legacy does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children through the public website. Concerns may be sent to support@imaralegacy.com.
17. Changes to This Notice
This notice may be updated when website functionality, privacy practices, vendors, or legal and regulatory requirements change. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the latest version. Where affirmative consent is legally required, an update will not be treated as consent.
